That the council revises the school bus parking signage near the schools on Prosperous Road, Clane to reflect school drop-off and collection times on Monday to Friday.

The Municipal District Office will organise for new signs to be installed.

Prosperous Road Clane Signage Revision to Clarify Timetable

The members considered the following motion in the name of Councillor McEvoy.

That the council revises the school bus parking signage near the schools on Prosperous Road, Clane to reflect school drop-off and collection times on Monday to Friday.

The motion was proposed by Councillor McEvoy and seconded by Councillor Feeney.

The members raised the following:

• Collection and drop-off times on signs would help with people parking in bus parking zones.

• Cars parking in bus parking zones meant buses had to wait for cars to pull out of the parking zone causing delays.

• NTA promoted smart travel and safe routes to school.

• A report was received from Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces informing the members that the Municipal District Office would organise for new signs to be installed and would do so in communication with the three schools in the area.

Resolved on the proposal of Councillor McEvoy, seconded by Councillor Feeney and agreed by the members that the report be noted.
