In response to nearby residents' requests for access to public transport services, Kildare County Council Public has proposed two bus stops on the R402 at Kilshanroe.

Subject to approval, the proposed bus stops are envisaged to serve the Transport for Ireland 120C route between Tullamore, Edenderry, Johnstownbridge, and Enfield, operated by GoAheadIreland. If agreed upon, the bus stops would permit passengers to avail of the service that is already passing through Kilshanroe.

Kildare County Council, having prepared the scheme with the Area Engineer, Transport for Ireland, GoAhead Ireland, and An Garda Síochána, is seeking feedback on the proposals.
